Be Fine Art Gallery, founded in 1998, is one of the few long-running Taiwanese galleries that focus on international artists. Its range of selection is across continents: Indonesia, Russia, Japan, Germany, and Zimbabwe. From the early years, it mainly introduced to Taiwan famous and promising Indonesian artists such as Affandi, I Made Supena, Suminto, etc. Further on, it started to reach out for important Mongolian Russian artists such as Balzhinima Dorzhiev, Dashi Namdakov, Zorikto Dorzhiev. By cooperating with various academies and institutions, Be Fine Art Gallery broadened the Taiwanese perspective to art in different areas of the world.
The continuing public benefit projects are another feature of Be Fine Art Gallery. Alongside other charity art projects, the most worth mentioned was based on the long-term partnership with National Taiwan University Children’s Hospital. Be Fine Art Gallery helped to establish the first aesthetic hospital in Taiwan, responsible for fund-raising, project plan, and art installation. The NTUCH project was fulfilled in 2008, consisting of more than two hundred artworks installed inside the national kids’ hospital. And it also marked Be Fine Art Gallery as the charity gallery in Taiwan. This is an honor and an ever-on mission to the gallery.
From 2015, it moved to a two-floored apartment, of which the space is multi-functional as exhibition venue/ private event holder. It ensures the gallery to provide more subtle services to collectors and art-lovers. At the same time, Be Fine Art Gallery starts to support the global popularization of historically influential artists in Taiwan/China. These include important print master Chou Ying and the famous Taiwan painter Lin Hsinyueh.
In the past two decades, Be Fine Art Gallery has been focusing on international art masters from Europe, Asia and Taiwan. From 2015, it became a member of "Taiwan Art Gallery Association" (TAGA). Further in 2021, Director Nicole Dai had been elected as the supervisor of TAGA (2021-2023). In the summer of 2022, Be Fine Art Gallery open its Chiayi Branch which is near the National Palace Museum South Branch. With the two-story exhibition hall and a café inside.
