“I chose a style with lines that are reminiscent of heart cardiograms. In some areas the lines are sharp, but the lines are connected by colour. Every colour is being complemented and reiterated in another one. This is a kind of meditation. My emotions flow through my heart and onto the canvas.

Partially my paintings are influenced by art forms such as graffiti. This is not a new direction. But more evidently my work presents an attempt at preventing the paintings from becoming static. Life flows. Nothing in life is set. Nothing stays the same from one moment to the next.

My work is an emotional dialogue with the beholder.

Nowadays everything is dynamic. Life is fast paced. I believe that the contemporary humans – in contrast to humans of past centuries – perceive everything completely differently. Every generation tries to discover something new in all areas of trade. The same goes for the art of painting.

It has been long proven that every colour encompasses information. One colour is calming while another sparks aggression. When working with colours I try to combine them with emotions. They are to be twofold: aesthetic and meaningful.

However, the source of the meaning should be not the mind but the heart. When deliberating one is kept from the truth. When you feel you flow into and merge with the current moment.

When I start working, I usually paint as long as necessary until I have finished my painting. I don’t step back once until the last stroke has been applied – it is like human life, from beginning to end. A cardiogram of emotions. A short story in colours and lines.

To feel means the dissolution of boundaries. Thinking leads to the formation of borders. Without definitions, it is impossible to erect borders. For this reason, I want to refrain from imposing titles on some of my paintings as to prevent the formation of boundaries between me and the beholder. Anyone should have the opportunity to find something for themselves in them.”
